The Cornish pilot gig is one of the oldest working boat traditions in the world. Six oars, clinker built from Cornish narrow leaf elm, 32 feet of wood and determination cutting through the Atlantic swell. The crews that race them today go out in all weathers, year round, because that is what we do. Every May the World Championships bring the best crews together — in 2026, Voose from Helford took the Women's title and Fury from Falmouth the Men's. Salty, dedicated and not looking for your approval. Pilot Gig is brewed in that spirit. Hand brewed in Redruth using whole hop flowers and hand-pitched yeast.
