Magikal Christmas: SIBA South West Champion Best Bitter
Three Christmas beers. One box. Four bottles each of Magikal Christmas, Blitzen and Three Kings, which is the whole of the Keltek Christmas range in one case.
Magikal is the benchmark bitter dressed for midwinter, copper with a red haze, blackcurrant on the nose, orange peel and grapefruit on the tongue.
Blitzen is the porter, six malts, liquorice against dark chocolate, a hint of salt.
Three Kings is the one with the crowns, toffee-coloured, baked bread and orange peel, spice and a long sweet finish.
One for before dinner, one for after, and one for the days between Christmas and Twelfth Night. All brewed by hand in Redruth. Get in the Christmas spirit. Beer. We mean beer.

On the shortest day, Penzance fills with masks and burns the Mock, a chalked yule log, to see the year out. That's Magikal Christmas. Blitzen is the eighth reindeer, named for lightning in an 1823 poem, and the beer is quieter than the name. Three kings arrived twelve nights after Christmas, which is why the season runs to the sixth of January, and why the third beer wears three crowns. Three stories, twelve bottles, one box.
