The Name Before
the Maps
Kernow. The name Cornwall had before the maps were drawn. From the Celtic word kernou, meaning horn or headland, it describes the shape of this extraordinary peninsula bordered by the Celtic Sea, the Atlantic Ocean and the English Channel. The ships that sailed from Falmouth carried India Pale Ale across the world, heavily hopped to survive the journey, arriving in distant ports with more character than when they left. Heart of Kernow brings that story home. Dry hopped, bursting with tropical fruit and citrus, hand brewed in Redruth using whole hop flowers and hand-pitched yeast.
