Christmas, the Cornish way. Magikal Christmas is our benchmark best bitter dressed for midwinter. Copper with a slight red haze under a white head. Blackcurrant on the nose, then orange peel and grapefruit riding a malty bitterness. SIBA South West Champion Best Bitter. Brewed for the longest nights of the year.

Mock Burns
On 21 December, the shortest day, Penzance fills with masks. Montol brings back the old West Cornwall midwinter: guise dancers in top hats and veils, a Lord of Misrule, lanterns through the streets, and the Mock, a Cornish yule log chalked with a stick man and burnt on the fire to see the year out. The custom was revived in 2007 and makes no claim to be older than it is, a town keeping an old habit alive. Magikal Christmas is the beer for that night. Our benchmark bitter, with the lights turned down.
