Keltek Brewery Partners with Mousehole Football Club & Launches Charity Lager Honouring the Solomon Browne Lifeboat

Keltek Cornish Brewery is proud to announce an exciting partnership with Mousehole AFC, a club at the heart of its community, renowned for its dedication to local football and heritage. This partnership marks a new chapter in Keltek’s commitment to supporting Cornish institutions and celebrating the region’s rich history.

A Partnership Rooted in Community Spirit

Mousehole AFC has long been a symbol of passion, resilience, and local pride—values that align perfectly with Keltek Brewery’s ethos. This partnership will see Keltek’s quality Cornish beer available at the club, enhancing the matchday experience for fans and supporting the team throughout the season.

Honouring the Legacy of the Solomon Browne Lifeboat

As part of this partnership, Keltek is also unveiling a special charity lager—Solomon Browne, a 4% Pilsner that pays tribute to the Solomon Browne lifeboat, which tragically sank in 1981 during a heroic rescue mission off the coast of Mousehole.

The Solomon Browne lifeboat crew, all volunteers from the local community, made the ultimate sacrifice in an act of extraordinary bravery. Their legacy remains deeply intertwined with Mousehole AFC, as many of those lost had strong connections to the club.

In honour of their memory, a portion of the proceeds from every pint of Solomon Browne sold will be donated to the RNLI, supporting the vital work of the charity that continues to protect lives at sea.

A Toast to Football, History & Community

The new Solomon Browne charity lager will be available at Mousehole Football Club. The design of the pump clip will feature a Watson-class lifeboat (shown above), commemorating the fallen crew and their sacrifice.
